TV CHOSUN Education Forum

The TV CHOSUN Education Forum has led national discourse on education by addressing key issues of each era—science and technology-driven educational innovation, the reinforcement of teachers' roles, and the restoration of public education—together with experts from the fields of education, administration, and economics.

Now in its 6th year, this year's forum, convened under the theme "Reimagining Talent for a New Era of Education" will engage in an in-depth examination of educational paradigms suited to the era of artificial intelligence(AI) and the attributes of talent that an increasingly digitalized society requires.

1

Exploring the

Role of Education in the AI Era

The accelerating trajectory of artificial intelligence (AI) development has positioned its educational implications as a focal point of contemporary academic and policy discourse. Situating this inquiry within the broader demands future society places on education, the forum examines the expansion of digital literacy, the imperative of cultivating creative talent, and the direction that education must take in response to these transformations.

2
Fostering Talent Aligned with Corporate Expectations

Bringing together HR experts and

drawing on their organizational

management experience, this forum

examines the profile of talent anticipated

to be in demand going forward.

It interrogates the disjunction between

the competencies required in industrial

settings and those cultivated through

school education, and jointly proposes

directions for educational reform

commensurate with evolving recruitment

trends.

3
Discussing the Direction of Innovation in Korean Education
Korean education has long struggled to overcome deep-rooted structural barriers to reform. The forum diagnoses the underlying determinants of this resistance and interrogates the current state of both public and private education, illuminating the challenges that must be confronted within a dynamically evolving educational landscape and articulating directions for educational innovation.
4
Proposing Strategies for Establishing Korea as a Global Talent Powerhouse
As Korea seeks to establish itself as a global powerhouse of talent, the forum explores the conditions necessary for this aspiration, examining the role and challenges of higher education from the diverse perspectives of education leaders across fields.
    TV CHOSUN Education Forum

For six years, the TV Chosun Education Forum

has brought together leading voices in education, policy, and economics

to tackle the defining challenges of the moment—from tech-driven innovation in the classroom to the changing role of teachers and the push

to restore public education to its rightful place.

This year's theme,

"The Talent Revolution: Reimagining Education for a New Era"

turns the spotlight on a pressing question

: what kind of talent does the AI age actually demand, and how should education evolve to meet it?

  1. 1
The Talent Employers Are Looking For
As AI transforms the way every industry operates, the very definition of talent is shifting. HR experts examine what qualities matter most in an AI-driven workplace, and how professionals can develop the ability to collaborate with AI while thinking across disciplines.
  2. 2
Why Korean Education Refuses to Change
Korean education has long been shaped around a single objective: producing the workers that companies and society demand. This session considers an alternative path—one centered on individual growth and long-term potential—while taking a close look at the structural issues underlying Korea's college admissions and hiring systems.
  3. 3
Korea's Road to Becoming a Talent Powerhouse
With the U.S. and China locked in competition for technological leadership, education has emerged as a critical factor in national competitiveness. This session assesses where Korean higher education stands within that global landscape, and what policy challenges lie ahead.
